I was in a car accident a few weeks ago and now have first-hand experience of how it feels to be in a collision, suffer injury (soft tissue damage at least), and have to see multiple doctors.
My attorney referred me to his pain doctor, but I went to see him, I had a terrible experience. Why? Because I didn’t feel I was listened to, no sympathy was shown, not much information was provided, the doctor didn’t make me feel relaxed about my situation, didn’t answer my questions and instead wrote me 3 unnecessary prescriptions. I was treated with disdain by his staff as well.
It was as if they didn’t want to see any patients. It was a least welcoming experience. I’ve talked about it in this podcast (not for sympathy’s sake) so you can avoid making these simple, but expensive mistakes in YOUR practice that push patients away.
Listen to this short podcast, you’ll learn a lot about how to make your practice more welcoming for patients.
